For the first time in its 18 series history, the nation’s favourite talent show, Britain’s Got Talent, is introducing a brand new twist to the live semi-finals – the Golden Buzzer!

In a show first, the iconic buzzer will now appear during the live rounds, giving one judge or Ant & Dec the power to send an act straight through to the grand finale each week.
Britain’s Got Talent will be more entertaining than ever before, not only with the addition of the Golden Buzzer for the live shows, but the semi-finals will now air live every Saturday night, claiming the weekends as the home of BGT. Be prepared for unpredictable, unmissable and unbeatable event television.
In each of the five live semi-final rounds, either one judge or Ant & Dec will be appointed control of the new Golden Buzzer. As soon as they see a performance worthy of a place in the final, they will have just one opportunity to press it.
Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli as well as presenters Ant & Dec, will have just moments after each performance to make a decision which could change the course of an act’s BGT journey, making them one huge step closer to securing the £250,000 cash prize and a spot on the bill of the Royal Variety Performance.
The eight acts that will be competing each night will put on the show of their lives, as they fight for that Golden Buzzer to be pressed, taking them straight to the final. The public will then vote for their winning act of the night, who will gain a place in the live final.
Performing on the third semi-final are:
Albert Amores, Gymnast
Bao, Danger
Electric Umbrella, Singers
Harry & Lewis, Dancers
Jasmine Rice, Singer
Mickey Callisto, Singer
Ping Pong Pang, Dancers
Rumac, Musician
Opening the show this week will be the cast of Just For One Day, the acclaimed musical which discovers the behind-the-scenes story of the biggest global music event of all time, Live Aid. Viewers can expect a spectacular opening ahead of the show transferring to the West End this month, after sell-out runs at the Old Vic in London and in Toronto.
Also this week, reigning Britain’s Got Talent champion Sydnie Christmas, will return to the stage for a showstopping performance. Sydnie received Amanda’s Golden Buzzer for her heartfelt rendition of Tomorrow from the musical Annie, before sailing through the semi-finals with her performance of My Way. But it was her mind-blowing version of Over the Rainbow, which captured the nation's hearts and crowned her winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2024.
The semi-finals take place at the Eventim Apollo in London. Viewers can watch all the unmissable action take place exclusively on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player.
