PERFECT PUB WALKS: BILL BAILEY TO FRONT NEW CHANNEL 4 SERIES

Comedian, actor and Strictly Come Dancing champion Bill Bailey is to front a new Channel 4 series Perfect Pub Walks, for the broadcaster's digital channel More4.

The four-part series will see the star travel around the country, from the Peak District to Dorset, Somerset and West Country, enjoying a drink and views from different pubs.

In each episode, Bill will be joined by a celebrity guest. The Sun reports that his first guest is comedian Paul Merton.

A source told The Sun: "Shows like Gone Fishing hark back to a simpler age of telly when programmes were designed to let viewers unwind rather than constantly titillated...

"Its success has shown that there’s still a market for a concept that hooks the viewer in a more subtle way. Perfect Pub Walks taps into that, and Bill is the perfect figure to take the reins."

Bill Bailey's Perfect Pub Walks is coming soon to More4. More details will be announced in due course.
