BRUNO TONIOLI CONFIRMED AS NEW BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT JUDGE

The former judge on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing joins Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon as filming commences on the 2023 series in London.

Tonioli replaces comedian, actor and presenter David Walliams, who was revealed to be standing down last year. David's departure has not been formerly announced or addressed by ITV, Fremantle or Walliams himself.

Speaking to the audience at the London Palladium, Bruno said: "I am so thrilled to be working alongside my old friend Simon. He’s teased me about this for years and years and years and now I am so excited to be here. And very nervous!"

A source previously told The Mirror: "Bruno has all the right experience and his famous exuberance will go down a treat. He and Simon have long hoped to work together so this has proved the perfect opportunity. Everyone’s very excited."

Britain's Got Talent returns this Spring on ITV1. More details will be revealed in due course.
