Following a successful first series in April, ITV have renewed The Chase spin-off Beat The Chasers for a second series.

ITV channel controller Kevin Lygo confirmed last month that Beat The Chasers will return for a second run. Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival 2020, when asked about the future of the show, Kevin Lygo said: "Of course we'll do more!"

Series 1, which aired in April, averaged 6.5 million viewers (consolidated). Hosted by Bradley Walsh, the show stars all five of the nation's favourite quiz geniuses: Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty, Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha, Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan and Shaun ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace.

It is believed that there is still some footage that was recorded during the first series' run that has not yet been aired. ITV declined to comment on this when approached.
