BBC TWO TO AIR NIGHT OF TINA TURNER PROGRAMMING IN TRIBUTE TO STAR

BBC Two have changed their schedule for tomorrow (Saturday 27th May 2023) to show a range of Tina Turner programming following the death of the star earlier this week.



At 9:10pm, BBC Two will air 'Tina Turner At The BBC', a collection of performances from one of the greatest singers and live performers in modern music - the legendary Tina Turner. This selection of tracks comes from appearances Tina made on various BBC programmes over the years, featuring some of her biggest hits from the 1970s, 80s and 90s.



After Later... with Jools Holland at 10:55pm, BBC Two will show a repeat of BBC One documentary 'Tina Turner: Simply The Best' - where Tina Turner gives an exclusive, in-depth interview to Will Gompertz, discussing her extraordinary career and bringing her well-documented life story up to date.


Tina Live! will air afterwards - An electric Tina Turner performance from Arnhem, Netherlands, in 2009, as part of her blockbuster 50th Anniversary Tour.



During 2008 and 2009, Tina completed 90 shows in over 40 different cities across North America and Europe, celebrating 50 years of being in music. She performed to over a million adoring fans throughout the tour, in a set that contained some of her most-loved songs, including The Best, What’s Love Got to Do With It, Proud Mary and many more.
