MARY BERRY COOKS UP FANTASTIC FEASTS FOR BBC ONE

It’s been said that people who give you their food give you their hearts and that’s exactly what the nation’s much-loved cook Mary Berry will be doing with her brand new three-part series, Mary Berry’s Fantastic Feasts (w/t) for BBC One and iPlayer.

Across the episodes Mary comes to the rescue of hopeless novice cooks who want to surprise a loved one with a Fantastic Feast, teaching the inexperienced cooks a selection of achievable and impressive dishes that will wow their families, friends or workmates.

Each episode focuses on a different celebration where the kitchen novices are invited to Mary’s home to share their ambitions for their special event and tell Mary, along with her two celebrity helpers, all about the special person they want to spoil.

After Mary has selected some recipes that are sure to impress, the new cooks are trained up by Mary, who highlights any tricky techniques along the way, giving her pupils helpful critique as they follow her step by step instructions.

On the day of the special event, whilst temperatures rise in the kitchen as the novices prepare their dishes, Mary and her celebrity helpers are on hand to assist in the hope that the guest of honour along with their family and friends are served up a truly Fantastic Feast, and one to make Mary proud.

Mary Berry said: “I am very excited about this series. Teaching is in my DNA and I can’t wait to share my knowledge and encourage the novice cooks – and with my celebrity sidekicks by my side we will make it fun all the way!”

Catherine Catton, Head of Commissioning, Popular Factual and Factual Entertainment, said: “We are very excited to have Mary back on our screens, and looking forward to seeing her transform novice cooks and helping them create incredible celebratory feasts for their loved ones.”
