BBC THREE ACQUIRES AWKWAFINA IS NORA FROM QUEENS

The 10-part series will be available on BBC iPlayer later this year.

Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens follows Nora as she navigates young adulthood in outer borough New York City, leaning on her wider family as she takes her first steps towards financial independence.

Golden Globe winner and rapper Awkwafina stars as Nora Linn. The cast also stars Bowen Yang, as Nora’s cousin Edmund, BD Wong as her dad Wally, and Lori Tann Chinn, as Grandma.

Sue Deeks, Head of BBC Programme Acquisition, says: “Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens is fresh, funny and very engaging - we are delighted that the series is joining BBC Three’s strong and distinctive comedy line-up.”

The 10x25 minute series will be available on BBC iPlayer later this year.
