BBC TO EXPLORE THE HISTORY OF BOYBANDS FOR DOCUMENTARY SERIES

The BBC have reportedly commissioned a new factual series from Louis Theroux's Mindhouse Productions exploring the rise and fall of boybands.

A source told The Sun: "It’s obvious Louis and his team intend to delve into the dark underbelly of bubblegum pop. They will focus­ on the golden era of boy bands in the Nineties and early Noughties. But given the thorny topics his production company has already tackled it was never going to be a gentle, nostalgic wander."

The 3x60' series will air on BBC Two later this year.
