BAYWATCH: REBOOT OF CLASSIC SERIES 'IN THE WORKS'

Deadline are reporting that Fremantle are developing a reboot of classic beach drama Baywatch. The production company has reportedly held 'early talks' with various broadcasters - including streaming services.

Baywatch, which was created by Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz and Gregory J. Bonann Ma and made stars of David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, followed a group of lifeguards on the beaches of LA County.

In 2017, Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron and Priyanka Chopra Jonas starred in a one-off movie based on the classic series. To save their beach, elite lifeguard Mitch Buchannon and a former Olympian probe a criminal plot that threatens the future of the bay.
