Channel 4 are developing a new challenge series, titled Apocalypse, which will see if contestants have what it takes to 'survive the end of civilisation as we know it'. Further details will be announced in due course.

A source told The Sun: "Squid Game proved you can take a concept and move it into a different genre. And, of course, The Last Of Us actually started out life as a video game and then became a drama. So this is a tried and tested path."
Earlier this year Channel 4 announced wo new reality series, The Hunt and The Inheritance.
The Hunt will see contestants dropped into the ultimate real-world game of hide and seek - where losing means walking away with nothing and winning could mean pocketing up to £100,000. Surviving the game isn’t about being the fastest. It’s about being the smartest.
Each episode is built around a tense, dog-eat-dog hunt, where each player becomes either a Predator or Prey. The Prey hold the cash, desperately trying to protect their winnings while completing challenges to win more money. The Predators must hunt them down and steal their cash. If they succeed their roles are reversed and the entire game flips, with Predators suddenly become Prey.
In The Inheritance, twelve strangers arrive at a grand English country estate, lured by one irresistible opportunity: to inherit a chunk of a vast fortune. The fortune belonged to a glamorous benefactor known only as The Deceased who has left video messages for the players from beyond the grave.
To release money from The Inheritance, players must work as a team to complete a series of challenges. The better they perform; the more money is released. But The Deceased had a wicked sense of humour and one ruthless condition: to win the game they must persuade all others that only they should be entrusted with the money.
More details will be announced in due course.
