THE ANDREW NEIL SHOW AXED BY CHAANEL 4 AFTER THREE SERIES
The Andrew Neil Show has been axed by Channel 4 after three series. It follows speculation last year that the show was facing an uncertain future after Channel 4 decided not to commission a series for last Autumn.
Speaking to Radio 4's The Media Show, Neil said "I did three seasons with Channel 4. It worked well, they liked it, it did well but like a lot of media organisations these days, they said to me quite bluntly, 'we've got no money. We haven't got any money."
The show sees Neil examine the biggest events of the moment and feature set-piece interviews with the highest profile politicians and newsmakers. The programme was broadcast every Sunday evening and produced by ITN Productions and Channel 4 News.
Andrew Neil has been in the business for 50 years and as a political presenter and interviewer for 30 years. He is a publisher, broadcaster, speaker and company chairman.
The Andrew Neil Show aired on Channel 4.
