ALAN CARR 'SET TO JOIN BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT' AS JUDGE -REPORTS

The comedian and presenter is reportedly set to join Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon on the panel for the next series of the ITV talent contest. ITV have not yet announced or confirmed Alan Carr's involvement.

A source told MailOnline: "Alan is hilarious but also kind. He tells a mean joke but he is also soft in the middle. The bosses are already excited about how wonderful he will be with the contestants...

"He will complement the panel so well too, he is really close friends with Amanda and he has known Simon and Alesha for years too. Everyone involved in the show is so excited and they can’t wait to get started."

It follows reports that David Walliams has quit his role as a judge on ITV's talent contest Britain's Got Talent.

A source previously told The Sun: "He hasn’t taken the decision lightly, but it feels like time to move on and focus on his other projects. His team have quietly been having conversations over the past few days where it has been made clear that David is readying himself to step down – and then producers will start to think about who might replace him...

"His exit might not be popular with fans who adore him. But for David it appears that now, after an amazing ten years on the show, it is the right time to move on."

Britain's Got Talent returns in Spring 2023 on ITV1 and ITVX.
