ACKLEY BRIDGE SET TO RETURN FOR FIFTH SERIES ON CHANNEL 4

The award-winning school drama is reportedly set to return to Channel 4 for a fifth series.

According to a report from Production Weekly, a fifth series of Ackley Bridge is in "active development".

Ackley Bridge has been the biggest show of the year so far for teenagers (16-19-year olds) on All 4 and the biggest library title on All 4 for 16-24.

The last series saw a changed to the format, with the show being stripped over two weeks at 6pm, and all episodes available as a boxset on All4.

Ackley Bridge is available now on All4.

Channel 4 declined to comment.
