Alan Carr is to front a new three-part travelogue series for More4, titled Alan Carr’s Adventures With Agatha Christie.
The series will see Alan, a self-confessed fanboy, indulge his passion for Poirot and Miss Marple by retracing the steps of the legendary writer who set many of her world-famous tales around the UK.
As part of the series, Alan will visit a myriad of locations including West Country villages, countryside and coast to uncover Agatha's world of murder and mystery.
Alan Carr said: "I genuinely can’t wait to film this series. Whether it’s this year’s star-studded Hollywood remake of Death On The Nile or reruns of David Suchet’s Poirot on a lazy Sunday afternoon, I just can’t help getting drawn into Agatha Christie’s world...
"I still get just as excited as when I picked up The Murder At The Vicarage in a second-hand bookshop on a caravanning holiday in Devon all those years ago."
Alan Carr’s Adventures With Agatha Christie airs later this year on Channel 4. More details will be revealed in due course.
