The upcoming drama titles coming to 5 have been revealed.

The Game
New four-part thriller starring Jason Watkins, Robson Green and Sunetra Sarker. Former detective Huw (Watkins) settles into retirement alongside his wife Alice (Sarker) but never far from his mind is the case he failed to solve – The Ripton Stalker. And when new neighbour, Patrick (Green) moves in and utters the chilling phrase ‘catch you later’ – the sign off the stalker used to taunt Huw, he’s determined he’s finally got his man.
The Forsytes
UK broadcast rights for the sweeping period drama The Forsytes (6x60’), the major reimagining of John Galsworthy’s novel series The Forsyte Saga. Originally commissioned by MASTERPIECE on PBS and produced by Mammoth Screen, part of ITV Studios, the drama will soon be available to UK audiences exclusively on 5.
Sticklers for tradition and status, the older Forsytes prize duty and reputation above all else, whilst the younger members rail against the rigidity of family expectations. The question of who will take over the family firm puts Soames Forsyte and his cousin Jolyon in conflict just as their lives are turned upside down by the arrival of two remarkable women. Ultimately each Forsyte family member grapples with the same dilemma – is it better to be ruled by the head or the heart?
The Rumour
Rachel Shenton (All Creatures Great and Small) starring as Joanna, a young mother in need of a new beginning. Also joining the cast is Joanne Whalley (Willow, Wolf Hall, Scandal), Emily Atack (Rivals) and Samuel Anderson (Doctor Who, Another Life).
Joanna moves with her young son, Alfie, to the quiet town of Flinstead, seeking a fresh start. However, she quickly becomes entangled in the lives of local mothers and the unsettling dynamics of the community. When Joanna stumbles upon an online rumour about a child killer living in the town, she uses it to win over the mums at the school gate.
As gossip spreads, suspicions build, and Joanna finds herself drawn into a web of secrets and paranoia. Balancing her efforts to protect her son with the growing unease in town, Joanna struggles to distinguish between truth and hearsay. With relationships strained and emotions running high, the boundaries between trust and fear blur.
All Creatures Great & Small
Based on best-selling author James Herriot’s beloved and iconic collection of stories, the critically acclaimed adaptation from Playground returns for a series consisting of six episodes (6 x 60”) plus a Christmas Special.
The series will continue to bring the stories of James Herriot to life as we return to Darrowby to rejoin our unconventional much loved Skeldale Family and the colourful ensemble of farmers, animals and townsfolk living in the Yorkshire Dales in the 1940s.
Transmission details will be announced in due course.
