TRIGGER POINT: TRAILER AND FIRST LOOK IMAGES FROM UPCOMING FOURTH SERIES OF HIT ITV DRAMA STARRING VICKY McCLURE

Ahead of its eagerly anticipated launch, ITV have released a selection of first look images from the brand new propulsive series of Trigger Point, along with a longer length trailer.

The hugely popular drama series from ITV and HTM Television will return to the channel soon for a fourth series starring multi-award winning actor Vicky McClure playing her fearless but troubled character Lana Washington who will confront her greatest challenge yet. 

Series 4 follows the success of Series 1-3 that have been streamed 91 million times and reached over 20 million viewers across ITV and ITVX.  The last series was the 5th most watched drama on ITV in 2025 and the 7th most watched across all channels and streaming services. It averaged 7 million viewers, with the launch attracting 7.4million.

The new images include a mix of Lana (Vicky McClure) in action and together with fellow bomb disposal officers - known as EXPOs - Danny (Eric Shango) and Hass (Nabil Elouahabi). Others include images from inside the police HQ with DS Helen Morgan (Natalie Simpson) and DCI Batra (Maanuv Thiara) and guest star Julie Graham who plays Commander Nia Quentin.

Whilst the trailer provides a thrilling 60 second glimpse of what Lana and the team are facing this time as they continue their quest to keep the capital safe from explosive devices and terrorist threats. 

Commissioned for ITV by Director of Drama, Polly Hill, series four will comprise of six new episodes. Polly commented, “I’m delighted that this thrilling series is returning for a fourth series. I know audiences will be once again on the edge of their seat as Lana and the team take us on another thrilling ride to keep the capital safe.”

Vicky McClure added: “I love working with the team, we have a great time making the show and I cannot wait to continue Lana’s journey on Trigger Point.” 

HTM Television produces the series in association with All3Media International, who distribute the series internationally.

The new series is written by Chris Brandon (Bloodlands) and will be directed by Jennie Darnell (Payback, Line of Duty) and Nirpal Bhogal (DI Ray, Grace) with series producer Kristian Dench (The Capture, Red Eye) and block producer Kingsley Hoskins (The Road Trip, The Flatshare).

Executive producers are Jed Mercurio (Line of Duty, Breathtaking), Daniel Walker (Boat Story, The Tourist), Jessica Sharkey (How To Get To Heaven From Belfast, Smoggie Queens), Chris Brandon, and Vicky McClure.
