THE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB: FIRST LOOK AND LAUNCH DATE CONFIRMED FOR NETFLIX ADAPTATION OF RICHARD OSMAN NOVEL

Netflix have released a selection of first look images and confirmed the launch date for its film adaptation of Richard Osman's debut novel, The Thursday Murder Club.

The story follows a group of friends in a retirement home who gather to solve murders for fun, but find themselves caught in a real case. The four members of the club are played by Helen Mirren (ex-spy Elizabeth), Sir Ben Kingsley (ex-psychiatrist Ibrahim) Pierce Brosnan (former union activist Ron) and Celia Imrie (ex-nurse Joyce).
Also starring are Richard E Grant, David Tennant, Jonathan Pryce, Naomi Ackie, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Ellis, Geoff Bell, Paul Freeman, Sarah Niles and Ingrid Oliver.
Richard Osman said: "I’m so proud of this book, so it is a dream to see The Thursday Murder Club in such incredible hands. From Chris Columbus, to Amblin to Netflix, there are geniuses everywhere I look. And what a cast. I’m pinching myself."
The Thursday Murder Club lands 28th August on Netflix.
