THE LORD'S DAY: CASTING JOINING DAMSON IDRIS FOR NEW NETFLIX POLITICAL SPY THRILLER FROM BAD WOLF

Netflix have announced casting to join Damson Idris in new political spy thriller The Lord's Day, adapted from Michael Dobbs' political thriller. The Netflix series will be written by Jonathan Brackley and Sam Vincent, produced by Bad Wolf.

Idris, who plays a spy who finds himself inside Parliament amid an escalating siege, will be joined by Harry Lawty, Arsema Thomas, Timothy Spall, Gemma Whelan and Sophie Willan in the new series.

The synopsis reads: "On the State Opening of Parliament, British spy Harry Jones (Damson Idris) finds himself inside the Palace of Westminster amid a lockdown. As a hostage siege escalates, loyalties are tested and selfless sacrifices are made, leading to a desperate fight for survival where not everyone will emerge alive.

Can Harry use his skills and training to be the country’s savior? Adapted from a novel by Michael Dobbs (House of Cards), this is a fast-paced action thriller set in the heart of British power."
