Popular BBC One music quiz The Hit List, which sees teams compete for £10,000, will return to screens for an ninth series. Applications for the new series, due to film in Spring 2026, are now open.

Hosts Rochelle and Marvin Humes will be returning to preside over pairs of contestants as they try and name hit songs and artists from the last seven decades as quickly as possible, plus will of course once again be inviting viewers at home to play along too and shout their answers at the telly.
Competing contestants will be vying to to show off their music knowledge and make it all the way to the final chart rundown to be in with a chance of walking away with £10,000. But can they tell their Beastie Boys from their Spice Girls when there's a possible cash prize at stake?
Neil McCallum, Commissioning Editor for the BBC, previously commented: “It’s been amazing to see the success of the Hit List over the years and it is marvellous to have it come back...
"Marvin and Rochelle are amazing hosts, their energy really shines through and creates the upbeat atmosphere that viewers love to tune into on Saturday evenings.”
The Hit List airs on BBC One with previous episodes available on BBC iPlayer.
