THE GONE: BBC ACQUIRES IRISH & NEW ZEALAND THRILLER THE GONE

The BBC has acquired mystery thriller The Gone starring Richard Flood (Grey’s Anatomy) and Acushla-Tara Kupe (Mr.Corman), for BBC Four and BBC iPlayer from Red Arrow Studios International.

The six-part series follows the journey of Irish detective Theo Richter (Richard Flood) who teams up with a Kiwi detective, Diana Huia (Acushla-Tara Kupe), when a young Irish couple go missing from a rural New Zealand town.

Their job isn’t made any easier by the community's growing concern that the disappearances may be linked to a series of historical murders, putting the whole town on edge.

The series also stars Manu Bennett (The Hobbit), Michelle Fairley (Game of Thrones, Gangs of London) and Carolyn Bracken (You are Not My Mother, Dublin Murders).

The Gone (6 x 55’) was created by Michael Bennett, Yvonne Donohoe, and Anna McPartlin. The series is directed by Peter Burger and Hannah Quinn.
