ITV today announces the acquisition of the mind-bending psychological thriller The Devil’s Hour for its streaming service, ITVX. The six-part series, produced by the award-winning Hartswood Films (Sherlock, Dracula), is set to bolster ITVX’s reputation as the UK’s premier destination for high-stakes, premium drama.
Written and created by Tom Moran and executive produced by industry heavyweights Steven Moffat and Sue Vertue, The Devil’s Hour follows the story of Lucy (Jessica Raine), a woman who is woken every night by terrifying visions at exactly 3:33am: the so-called ‘devil’s hour.’
When her name is inexplicably connected to a string of brutal murders, the answers she has been seeking her entire life finally come into chilling focus.
The series features a powerhouse cast, led by BAFTA-nominee Jessica Raine (Patrick Melrose, Call the Midwife) and Emmy-winner Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who, The Thick of It), who delivers a haunting performance as a reclusive wanderer driven by a murderous obsession.
The Devil’s Hour joins a growing stable of premium acquisitions on ITVX, ensuring the platform remains the first choice for viewers seeking world-class storytelling.
The series will be available to stream on ITVX from 5th April 2026.
