Beat The Chasers is to introduce a mystery new chaser during its final episode of the series on Sunday 19th October. Only known as 'Maverick', the identity of the masked chaser has not been announced.

TV Zone understands Maverick will join five of the regular Chasers on the special episode, with one of the regular six Chasers absent from this episode. Again, which Chaser is missing from this episode has not been announced. A teaser shares: "Who is behind the mask, and can they live up to being a part of the greatest quiz team in the world?"
Beat The Chasers sees individuals take on all six Chasers - The Governess, The Vixen, The Menace, The Dark Destroyer, The Beast and The Sinnerman - in the hope of winning a huge cash prize.
To build a cash pot, the contestants have to answer multiple choice questions - get the first one wrong, and they are out, but answer one or more correctly and they get to face the Chasers, who offer time and money in order to take them on.
If the contestants get all Cash Builder questions right, they are given a super offer to face all the Chasers for up to £600,000 - the endgame is a nail-biting head-to-head race against the clock.
Run out of time before the Chasers and the contestants go home with nothing, but if the Chasers run out of time before them, they will win the money for their nominated charities. With Bradley Walsh as our presenter, is anyone good enough to take on the greatest quiz team that ever lived?
Meanwhile, The Chase's annual Christmas special will be returning to ITV later this year, however it seems only one episode rather than the traditional two episodes.
The special will be recorded in November, with four celebrities take on the Chasers, who are traditionally in fancy dress, with the aim of winning thousands of pounds for their chosen charities.
Hosted by Bradley Walsh, the famous contestants must answer general knowledge questions and play their tactics right in order to get themselves into the Final Chase, where they could win a cash pot worth thousands for their charities.
The six chasers are Mark Labbett (The Beast), Shaun Wallace (The Black Destroyer), Anne Hegerty (The Governess), Paul Sinha (The Sinnerman), Jenny Ryan (The Vixen), and Darragh Ennis (The Menace). The celebrities taking part have not been announced by ITV.
Plus, TV Zone understands The Chase spin-off The Chase Around The World is set for a full series on ITV, following a pilot earlier this year - also revealed by TV Zone.
The series is a primetime reality competition spin-off to daytime staple quiz The Chase. Production on The Chase Around The World is due to commence early next year and will be produced by Potato, who also produce the daytime series and Beat The Chasers.
Details on specific format points are being kept under wraps, but TV Zone understands the show will involve pairs of contestants answering questions and solving puzzles whilst travelling around the world to be in with a chance of winning a huge cash prize.
ITV have not yet announced the series, so it is not clear how close to the The Chase - which continues weekdays at 5pm on ITV - this new format will be, or whether Bradley Walsh or any of the Chasers will be involved.
Previous episodes of The Chase and Beat The Chasers are available on ITVX.
