ITV announces a new landmark three-year deal for The 1% Club. A truly global hit, The 1% Club remains the biggest original quiz show in more than a decade. It regularly exceeds 5 million viewers an episode and since launching three years ago, it has been streamed over 60 million times and reached over 43 million viewers.

ITV will commission further series and specials of The 1% Club over the next three years, alongside the return of The 1% Club Rollover later this year and The 1% Club Kids Special, due to air later this month. The enduring popularity of The 1% Club has made it one of ITV’s standout entertainment brands, attracting millions of viewers and broad demographic appeal across both broadcast and streaming.

The show sees 100 contestants begin every show, but to make it to the end and win the top prize of up to £100,000, contestants must correctly answer a question only 1% of the country would get right. Contestants of all ages and backgrounds can take part, because, unlike most quizzes, no swotting up on general knowledge is required to do well - logic and common sense are the key to success.

Imagine a game show where an eight-year-old has as much chance of winning as an 80-year-old or where intelligence isn’t based on how many exams you passed, but is all about how your brain works - The 1% Club is a unique, compelling and funny gameshow that tests the nation’s intelligence, based on a scientific survey.

This primetime entertainment format is not about what you learned at school or your ability to memorise facts – it’s about real intelligence and a chance to test your brain through a series of questions that often lead to extremely entertaining answers which sees host Lee Mack interacting with the contestants.

The 1% Club host, Lee Mack says: "I'm delighted that ITV have given us three more series to discover Great British clever clogs. I just told my family how old I would be when these three series are over, but apparently I got it wrong. Which shows you how well I'd do as a contestant.”

ITV’s Director of Factual Entertainment, Sue Murphy, said: “We’re thrilled to be renewing The 1% Club for a further three years. The show has become a huge hit with viewers of all ages. With Lee at the helm as always, we can’t wait to bring more series and specials to the viewers. It’s a brilliant entertainment show with a unique format that viewers love to play along with at home, and its broad appeal makes it a hugely valuable part of our slate on ITV.”

Executive Producers and creators of The 1% Club, Dean Nabarro and Andy Auerbach, said: “It’s a wonderful vote of confidence that ITV have commissioned three more years of the show and we’re delighted that so many more people will now get the chance to join The 1% Club.”

The 1% Club was created by Dean Nabarro and Andy Auerbach, and is a Magnum Media production for ITV.
