THE AFFAIR: ITV ACQUIRES COMPLETE SERIES OF AMERICAN DRAMA

ITV announces the acquisition of the complete series of The Affair;  series 1-3 will be available to UK audiences on ITVX from 13 March 2026, series 4 will be made available this summer, and series 5 will follow in 2027. 

Created by Sarah Treem and Hagai Levi, The Affair first premiered in the United States in 2014 on Showtime. The series quickly established itself as one of the most provocative and psychologically rich dramas on television, known for its innovative, multi-perspective storytelling, complex characters, and unflinching exploration of love, memory, betrayal and the long-term consequences of relationships.

Spanning multiple seasons, The Affair follows intertwined lives whose choices reverberate across time and examines how passion and secrecy can alter destinies, families, and personal identity. With its emotionally charged narratives, morally ambiguous characters, and immersive, character-driven drama, the show has won critical acclaim and built a loyal global following.

Bringing The Affair to ITVX gives UK viewers the chance to experience the full scope of the series - from its early romantic entanglements to the darker, more complex revelations that challenge trust, perspective and truth.
