STRICTLY COME DANCING RATINGS FALL FOR FIRST LIVE SHOW, SERIES OVER ONE MILLION DOWN ON 2025
Strictly Come Dancing ratings fell last night opposite the football on ITV, with the first live show drawing in 4.8 million viewers. This is down 1.4 million on last year's first live show - and the first time since 2019 that the first live show has rated lower than the pre-recorded launch show.
Commenting on the ratings, a Strictly spokesperson told TV Zone: "Strictly was the most watched programme of the night, with a peak of 5 million viewers. As ever, overnight ratings do not give the full picture of all those who watch in an on-demand world."
Strictly Come Dancing returns to iPlayer and BBC One from 6.15pm on Saturday 3 October for Movie Week. Emma, Josh and Jojo welcome the 15 couples back to the ballroom for the second round of performances.
As always, judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke will be on hand to offer feedback and give scores. At the end of the show, the public vote opens for the first time.
The judges' scores from the last two weeks will be added together and combined with the public vote, and the bottom two couples will face each other in the next show's dance-off. Who will be your favourite?
