The BBC have reportedly dropped Janette Manrara and Fleur East as hosts of BBC Two companion show Strictly: It Takes Two, according to The Sun newspaper.

It follows a reported 'bloodbath' at the show which has seen up to five professional dancers - Karen Hauer, Nadiya Bychkova, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mustak and Michelle Tsiakkas - all leave or not asked to return, as well as the departure of hosts Tess and Claudia who announced their departure last year.

A source told The Sun: "Viewers will be shocked that this bloodbath has continued but bosses want a completely new look and fresh start for the show. Nobody feels safe at the moment but execs are determined to have a complete refresh after all the drama in recent years and create a new era. Just because Fleur and Janette aren’t on It Takes Two that’s not to say they won’t be repurposed elsewhere."

Meanwhile, the BBC are due to announced the new hosts of Strictly Come Dancing very soon. It follows previous hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman stepping down from the show at the end of the last series.

Tess and Claudia co-hosted Strictly Come Dancing together since 2014. Tess presented the show since its very first episode alongside Sir Bruce Forsyth whilst Claudia originally presented Strictly: It Takes Two before moving over to host the results show alongside Tess in 2010.

Since 2014, Tess and Claudia presented the main show and results show together and were the first all-female duo to host a primetime entertainment programme on British TV. In June 2025, Tess and Claudia were both made Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for their services to broadcasting.

More details will be announced in due course.
