A look ahead to some of the new and returning entertainment series expected to air later this year.



Strictly Come Dancing

BBC One

The nation’s favourite dance show, Strictly Come Dancing, is returning to BBC One and BBC iPlayer this Autumn with another spectacular series of glitz, glamour and unforgettable performances with the brand new series promising to be extra special as Strictly turns 20!



Made by BBC Studios Entertainment Productions, Strictly Come Dancing, which recently won in the Best Entertainment category at the 2024 BAFTA TV Awards, will be presented by Tess Daly, who has presented during every series ever since the very first back in 2004, alongside the ever faithful Claudia Winkleman in the famous ballroom.


The Hit List

BBC One

The Hit List plays on as Marvin and Rochelle Humes host this compulsively play-along music quiz. Across four nail-biting rounds, contestants simply have to name hit songs and artists to win a possible £10,000 - but can they stay cool for cats when they’re under pressure?



Alan Carr's Picture Slam

BBC One

Following the success of the first series, which launched in September 2023, the addictive quiz show is back for a second series with added pressure and more pictures that will have you shouting answers at your TV screen!


Picture Slam is the game where you need to know something about everything. In three teams of two, contestants have to battle against the clock in a series of thrilling rounds, to identify as many pictures as they can to be in with the chance of winning the £10,000 jackpot.


Michael McIntyre's The Wheel

BBC One

BAFTA award-winning Michael McIntyre is back with his hit Saturday-night gameshow that's packed with huge stars, big laughs, and a colossal spinning wheel! Three contestants hope to answer their way to a fortune, guided by seven celebrities but can they help them to win life-changing cash? That all depends on the spin of The Wheel.



Blankety Blank

BBC One

Made by Thames, a Fremantle label, Blankety Blank (10x35’) will once again be presented by Bradley Walsh as each episode sees a panel of six celebrities try to fill in the missing blanks over a series of rounds and help win some brilliant prizes for contestants.


The Voice UK

ITV1

Emma Willis is back at the helm - presenting the show and presiding over the action - as each of the acts takes to the stage in the hope of turning one of the iconic red chairs.


In search of the next singing sensation, superstar coaches Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am are back and ready to take their seats in the most iconic chairs on television. They are joined by brand-new coaches LeAnn Rimes and Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones from McFly who will sit in a double chair for the first time in The Voice UK’s history!

A hilarious word association game hosted by the multi-talented Stephen Mangan. Featuring one of the UK’s biggest comics - Alan Carr - and an award-winning actor and writer - Daisy May Cooper - as resident Team Captains, each episode sees Alan and Daisy pair up with contestants to give one-word clues that aim to help their teammate guess a mystery ‘password’.


Romesh Ranganathan's Parents Evening

ITV1

The 3x60' series, due to air later this year, sees the fortunes of the celebrity contestants lie in the hands of those who supposedly know them best... their parents. And it won’t just be the players’ general knowledge getting scrutinised. Keeping a watchful eye and putting Romesh in his place will be his mum.


Genius Game (TBC)

ITV1

Genius Game is a brand-new reality game show hosted by David Tennant that will see strategically minded players, chosen not just for their high intellectual prowess but also their social IQ, face the ultimate battle of survival.



To win, contestants will participate in a host of never before seen games all designed to not only test their intellectual acumen but encourage them to carefully and creatively use the art of manipulation to outfox their opponents and win a cash prize.


Cooking With The Stars

ITV1

Eight celebrities are paired with professional chefs who will mentor them in a bid to transform them from amateur to expert in a matter of weeks.


The celebrities taking part in this series are Paralympian Ellie Simmonds, model and presenter Abbey Clancy, athlete Linford Christie, actor and television host Christopher Biggins, presenter Carol Vorderman, comedian Katherine Ryan, YouTuber Harry Pinero and Strictly professional dancer Pasha Kovalev.



Beat The Chasers (TBC)

ITV1

The sensational six – The Sinnerman, The Beast, The Governess, The Menace, The Vixen and The Dark Destroyer - come together to take on members of the public hoping to win big.
