STACEY SOLOMON'S RENOVATION RESCUE SHELVED AFTER ONE SERIES ON CHANNEL 4

Stacey Solomon's Renovation Rescue, which sees the star give viewers easy and helpful tips to makeover their homes themselves, will not be returning to Channel 4 for a second series, The Sun have revealed.

The DIY series launched on Channel 4 earlier this year and saw Stacey step in where the bad builders have left off, showing homeowners how simple, satisfying, and cost effective it can be to pick up a power tool and do the work themselves.

From brick laying to basic plumbing, roof-tiling to mastering hacksaws, the show will see Stacey get her hands dirty helping homeowners who want to transform their home all by themselves.

The series followed big builds and smaller passion projects with Stacey sharing her money-saving skills and offering design inspiration, as well as challenging herself to master new DIY techniques.

A source told The Sun: "Stacey had a great time making Renovation Rescue but the fact she isn’t doing a second series allows her to focus on her projects with the Beeb. They’ve been a huge success and the NTA win is evidence that the viewing public love what she does."

Solomon's hit BBC series Sort Your Life was recently recommissioned for a fifth series following its win at last month's National Television Awards. Unlike traditional home makeover shows, houses are emptied of every possession and laid before each family so they can decide what stays, plus what must be discarded, sold or recycled.

Stacey Solomon's Renovation Rescue is available now on Channel 4 streaming.
