SIGNIFICANT OTHER: COMEDY AXED BY ITV AFTER ONE SERIES

 EXCLUSIVE

Significant Other, the ITV comedy starring Katherine Parkinson and Youssef Kerkour, has bene axed after one series.

Adapted from yes Studios’ award-winning Israeli series of the same name, the 6 x 30-minute series follows two lonely neighbours who embark on a hesitant, obstacle-filled relationship after drastic life events bring them together.

An ITV spokesperson told TV Zone: "Significant Other was a great addition to the comedy season on ITVX last year but sadly it won't be returning for a second series.  We'd like to thank the cast and crew for bringing the show to our screens."

Significant Other explores the unromantic romance of Anna and Sam, played by Katherine Parkinson and Youssef Kerkour, whose drastic, but fateful, first meeting changes their lives.

As this strange love story unfolds with wryly observed wit and warmth, could these deeply flawed individuals – both at a time in their lives when change is difficult and rarely expected – influence each other for the better?

Significant Other is available now on ITVX.
