ROMESH RANGANATHAN SHOW COMMISSIONED FOR SERIES BY BBC

The BBC have commissioned The Romesh Ranganathan Show (w/t), a new entertainment chat show, following a successful pilot recorded late last year. The commission was first reported by British Comedy Guide.

A teaser from the BBC shared at the time of the pilot "We'll have a star-studded line-up of celebrity guests, hilarious games and amazing music performances. Also accompanying Romesh is his straight talking mum Shanthi to keep him in check! You won't want to miss it..."

Ranganathan also told the Always Be Comedy podcast: "[The show] is coming... I can't officially say.". It follows a report in The Times last week which suggested his BBC Two series The Ranganation was to end - however TV Zone has been unable to verify this, with Ranganathan saying the show is 'up in the air' at the moment.

The pilot was recorded at The Tabernacle in West London in December 2022. The BBC declined to comment on the commission when approached by British Comedy Guide.
