I Don't Like Mondays was a Channel 4 gameshow hosted by Alan Carr where one lucky audience member got to resign live on air and receive their whole year's salary in one go - there and then.

Everyone in the audience arrives at the show with their resignation letter in hand and, with the help of a celebrity guest, Alan whittles participants down to the lucky chosen one via hilarious games, surprise guests, a celebrity executive board and the novel use of a filing cabinet!

There were also surprises and touching moments for audience members as Alan gives reasons to be cheerful into the working week.

Along the way, the viewing public found out the bizarre, funny and moving ways audience members would spend their year of freedom if they won the best prize on television.
