Beat The Brain was a BBC Two daytime quiz hosted by broadcasting legend John Craven. It was co-produced by Objective Productions and Over The Top Productions.

Beat the Brain tested how the contestants think, as opposed to what they know. The 30-part series saw see teams of four square up to the eponymous Brain and compete in a series of zones that test the full range of their mental capabilities.

Instead of questions, participants will face visual puzzles, logic problems, memory challenges and an array of thorny brain teasers designed to give them and viewers a complete mental workout.

In June 2015, the BBC announced that the programme would not be returning for a second series.
