Race Across The World raced ahead of the competition with 5,954,000, safely becoming the most-watched programme of the week across all channels by over 1 million viewers. Second place was Beyond Paradise with 4,880,000, closely followed by Britain's Got Talent with 4,858,000.
In entertainment, The 1% Club continued with 3,933,000, Gogglebox with 2,957,000, Stacey & Joe with 2,656,000, Breaking Dad with 2,637,000. The new series of Taskmaster launched with 2,172,000 whilst Who Wants To Be A Millionaire returned to 2,082,000.
ITV launched two-part factual series The Essex Millionaire Murders on Monday night to 3,013,000. In drama, This City Is Ours continued on Sunday night with 3,744,000 on BBC One, whilst ITV medical thriller Malpractice returned to 2,890,00. Doctor Who continued with 2,802,000.
ITV launched new reality competition Genius Game with David Tennant to around 1.9m. Meanwhile, E4 launched new reality series The Honesty Box with over 1.9 million 'series views' to date, becoming Channel 4’s biggest ever launch on streaming for a brand new E4 original commission.
All three soaps had their most-watched episodes of the week on Monday night. Coronation Street was watched by 4,300,000, Emmerdale with 3,761,000 and EastEnders with 3,521,000. Casualty was watched by 2,525,000.
