RATINGS REPORT: 24th-30th AUGUST 2026, MOST WATCHED SHOWS REVEALED
The latest 7-day consolidated ratings for programmes shown or released for the last week have been released by BARB. The top-50 breakdown can be found on BARB's website here.
On Sunday night, both BBC One and ITV1 launched their Autumn slates with big returning dramas. On the former, Suranne Jones returned for a third series of Vigil to 4,708,800. Opposite on ITV, Trigger Point starring Vicky McClure returned to 4,422,400.
Drama was the biggest genre of the week, with David Mitchell's hit comedy drama Ludwig continuing to top the week with 6,189,400 for its second episode. Midweek on ITV, Professor T continued with 2,596,300.
In non-scripted, The Great British Sewing Bee topped the week with 4,381,700. Plus Hamza: Birds Of Prey was watched by 3,404,800, 24 Hours In Police Custody returned to 2,785,300, Celebrity MasterChef with 2,549,500 and Dragons' Den with 2,513,200.
On Saturday night, The Voice UK continued with 2,745,400 whilst The Hit List and Alan Carr's Picture Slam continued with 2,143,700 and 2,324,700 on BBC One.
