RATINGS REPORT: 22-28 SEPTEMBER 2025, MOST WATCHED SHOWS REVEALED

The latest 7-day consolidated ratings for programmes shown or released for the last week have been released by BARB. The top-50 breakdown can be found on BARB's website here.

Strictly Come Dancing went live for the fist time this series to an audience of 7,693,500 on Saturday night, making it the most watched programme of the week. In second place was The Great British Bake Off with 6,703,500.



In drama, the final episode of The Guest topped the week with 4,069,900. New series Nine Bodies In A Mexican Morgue launched to 3,384,000 after Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night. On Wednesday night, ITV debuted phone hacking drama The Hack, starring David Tennant, to 3,151,100.


All Creatures Great & Small returned to Channel 5 with 3,132,000 and Coldwater continued on ITV with 2,713,400 and 2,941,500 for its next two episodes respectively. House Of Guinness launched on Netflix with 2,324,000 watching Episode 1 on TV sets only.



In soaps, Emmerdale overtook Coronation Street to become the biggest soap of the week with 3,803,600. Coronation Street was close behind with 3,718,1000 and EastEnders' highest rating episode reached 3,350,100.


Elsewhere, 2,473,400 watched the final episode of MasterChef, Gogglebox continued with 3,480,100, Married At First Sight continued with 2,753,800 and Antiques Roadshow delivered 4,273,600 for BBC One.
