RATINGS REPORT: 03-09 AUGUST 2026, MOST WATCHED SHOWS REVEALED

The latest 7-day consolidated ratings for programmes shown or released for the last week have been released by BARB. The top-50 breakdown can be found on BARB's website here.

Diane Morgan's hit comedy Ann Droid continued to top the week, with the fourth episode in the series watched by 5,103,500 on BBC One. In second place was the fourth episode of The Great British Sewing Bee which continued with 4,356,600. Murder 24/7 also continued strong with 4,106,200 and 3,458,300 for its fifth and sixth episodes respectively.

In drama, Van Der Valk continued with 2,761,000. The Rapture on BBC One concluded with 2,379,400 and 2,690,200 for its final two episodes. On Friday night, Granite Harbour continued with 2,424,600. Coronation Street was the highest rating soap of the week, with Tuesday's episode reaching a high of 3,847,900.

In entertainment, The Hit List and Alan Carr's Picture Slam continued with 2,334,200 and 2,540,500 respectively. On ITV, The Chase Around The World continued with 2,107,800 on Thursday evening. Elsewhere, Long Lost Family Born Without Trace returned for its eighth series to 2,406,100 on ITV.
