RATINGS REPORT: THE TRAITORS, MR BATES, WHEEL OF FORTUNE AND THE TOURIST
The +7 day consolidated ratings for programmes shown or released week 1st-7th January 2024 have been released by BARB. The top-50 breakdown can be found on BARB's website here.
Unsurprisingly, all four episodes of ITV drama Mr Bates Vs The Post Office takes the top spots. Within the first 7-days of broadcast, the fourth and final episode was watched by 10.3m. The first episode was watched by 9.2m within 7-days.
On Sunday night, it was the battle of Vera and Call The Midwife. The former came out on top with 6.85m viewers, Call The Midwife just behind with 6.82m. The Tourist made a relatively quiet return on New Year's Day with 4.2m consolidated.
Another drama which dominated the week was Netflix's Fool Me Once. The first episode was the most watched with over 6.3m viewers. All eight episodes made the top-50 of the week. Over 3.55m people have streamed the entire series in the UK.
The Traitors returned to BBC One for its second series, with the first three episodes airing over consecutive nights on BBC One. Episode 1 was watched by just under 6m, with 5.75m and 5.8m for episodes 2 and 3 respectively.
In entertainment, ITV rebooted Wheel Of Fortune to a very respectable 4.17m. Later that evening, The Masked Singer was watched by 5.19m and Ant & Dec's Limitless Win by 3.83m.
In soaps, the highest rating of Coronation Street was Tuesday night's with just under 4.9m, Emmerdale's also on Tuesday night with just over 4.6m and EastEnders with just under 4.2m. All episodes of EastEnders were over 4m that week.
Mr Brown's Boys New Year Special was watched by over 3.26m on New Year's Day.
