Claudia Winkleman hosts the ultimate reality game of trust and treachery with new twists and new players. Time to take to the edge of your seat once more as 22 people from across the UK descend on a Scottish castle to win up to £120k. Let the mind games begin.

The show returned on New Year's Day to an audience of 6.4 million viewers - making it the largest audience for the opening episode of the show ever, with a peak of just over 7 million.
In the opening episode, the secret traitor twist was introduced. As always, Claudia selects her Traitors from the 22 contestants and the audience will know who they are, but their powers will be a little different. Because Claudia also selects a Secret Traitor and nobody will know who that person is. Not the Traitors, not the Faithful - and not even the audience at home.

"You are my Secret Traitor, you will not be joining your fellow Traitors tonight. Instead, you will be controlling them," Claudia tells the mystery figure, before revealing to them who the Traitors are.
The Secret Traitor will work alone and will be responsible for drawing up a murder shortlist. The Traitors must them murder someone - but it can only be someone whose name is on the murder shortlist. Only the Secret Traitor will know everyone in the game's true identity.
The Traitors continues tonight (Friday 2nd January) at 8pm on BBC One.
