Here’s a round-up of the latest 7-day consolidated ratings for week 25 April-01 May 2022. Figures include those who watched live, on catch-up and devices within a 7-day period. All figures courtesy on BARB.

Starting with soaps, where Coronation Street was the most watched of the week. The ITV soap was watched by 5.17m, 4.95m and 5.14m for episodes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday respectively. Emmerdale reached a height of 4.49m on Tuesday night, directly opposite BBC One’s EastEnders with 3.63m.

The latest episode of Britain’s Got Talent was the most watched across the week, with just under 7.3m viewers tuning in on Saturday. It was directly followed by Lee Mack’s The 1% Club which continued strongly with 5m viewers. Just before BGT, Romeo & Duet continued with 1.6m at 7pm.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Gogglebox continued with 4.3m on Friday night. At the same time on BBC One, the latest episode of Have I Got News For You was watched by just over 4m. The Great British Sewing Bee returned to BBC One with 4.8m on Wednesday, directly followed by the final of Interior Design Masters which was watched by 3.04m.

Freeze The Fear with Wim Hof continued with 2.7m on Tuesday night. Opposite on Channel 4, Derry Girls continued with a strong 3.1m viewers. In factual on ITV, Long Lost Family was watched by 2.81m, and DNA Journey continued with 2.79m.

Outside soaps, Grace was the most watched drama of the week. The return of the ITV drama was watched by just under 5.1m viewers. The Split continued on BBC One with 4.27m, Gentleman Jack with 3.15m and Casualty with 2.6m.

On Channel 4, new series Richard Hammond’s Crazy Contraptions opened with 700k on Friday night. Figures for Here We Go, Noughts & Crosses and Talk TV are unavailable at time of writing.
