In this series we air stories of the most dramatic, jaw-dropping and terrifying airline disasters and aviation incidents ever - all told by the people who were there. Using dramatic reconstruction, special effects and first-hand testimony, Channel 5 takes viewers into the cabin and the cockpit as passengers and crew experience the worst flights of their lives.



Episode 1: It’s 5am on a routine flight from Gatwick to Kenya and a dream holiday has turned into a nightmare. A British Airways jumbo jet is plummeting towards the ground; there is less than a minute left to save the plane before it crashes.


A passenger has entered the cockpit and is wrestling with the pilots, pushing the plane into a rapid dive. On board the 747-400 are almost 400 travellers including celebrities Bryan Ferry and Jemima Goldsmith.




In this episode we explore the remarkable story of BA Flight 2069, told by those who were on board. Featuring exclusive interviews with Ben Goldsmith and pilot Bill Hagan alongside cabin crew and passengers who recount the terrifying reality of a flight in the midst of a hijacking.


Using vivid dramatic reconstruction, state-of-the-art special effects and first-hand testimony, Channel 5 takes viewers into the cabin and the cockpit as passengers and crew experience the flight where all hell broke loose.
