The doors to The Sir William Bowman Centre of Excellence in Birmingham will officially open for the first time on Monday 2 February as hit drama Silent Witness returns to BBC iPlayer and BBC One.

Back for five captivating new stories, told over 10 episodes, the team has relocated to Birmingham and Dr. Nikki Alexander (Emilia Fox), Jack (David Caves), Harriet (Maggie Steed) and Kit (Fran Mills) face some of their toughest cases yet.
Episode 1: Nikki and Jack hunt a suspected hitman across Birmingham, who later claims responsibility for a murder that gripped the nation, for which someone else is serving time in jail.
Episode 2: Nikki, Jack and the Bowman team are suspicious of a hitman’s murder confession. They must navigate the twists and turns of a complex investigation to uncover the unsettling truth.
This series, Nikki and the team are joined by guest cast, including Lydia Wilson (Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue), Chris Reilly (Slow Horses), Ben Batt (Riot Women), Vinette Robinson (Boiling Point), Selin Hizli (Am I Being Unreasonable?), Gerard Kearns (Waiting For The Out) Adam Rayner (Superman and Lois), Phaldut Sharma (EastEnders), Dino Fetscher (Fool Me Once), Cat Simmons (The Bill, Family Affairs), Chris Coghill (Slow Horses) and Mollie Winnard (All Creatures Great and Small).
The new series of Silent Witness airs on Mondays and Tuesdays on BBC iPlayer and BBC One from Monday 2 February.
