Rich House, Poor House is back, bigger, better and more life changing than ever before. The series sees two families from opposite ends of the wealth divide swap homes, budgets, and lives for a week, both experience a dramatic shift in perspective as they step into each other’s worlds.

Through laughter, challenges, and heartfelt moments, the families discover how money shapes opportunity, relationships, and happiness. This powerful, emotional, and often uplifting series reveals that true wealth isn’t always measured in pounds, and when the families finally meet at the end of each episode lives are changed forever.

Health and wealth are under the spotlight in this heart-warming episode as the millionaire owner of the Tiny Box Company swaps with a struggling mum and daughter recovering from serious health issues.

Worthing on the Sussex coast is where lone parent Lyndsay and 21-year-old daughter Katie live in a ground floor Housing Association flat. Lyndsay used to run a small childminding business but had to give it up eight years ago after a hysterectomy followed by arthritis and fibromyalgia.

Lyndsay survives off weekend receptionist work, topped up by benefits, but her problems pale into comparison compared to the massive health battles faced by daughter Katie. Seven years ago, she developed a rare disease and recently had her pancreas removed along with her gallbladder, spleen and a quarter of her stomach.

Having missed out so much already in her young life, Katie is now starting to think about her future and is hoping the swap will inspire her and her mum to a new life.

Just 37 miles away the town of Crowborough couldn’t be more different. It’s one of East Sussex’s richest neighbourhoods, and home to packaging multi-millionaire Rachel Watkyn and husband Steve, who own a gorgeous country house with 13-metre swimming pool and 1.2 acre garden.

Rachel’s success is all the more remarkable given she’s had cancer four times. Having battled her way through numerous challenges to the top she now wants to show Steve’s granddaughter Amelia what really matters in life.

During the week Lyndsay and Katie take on the work of a successful CEO while Rachel, Steve and Amelia adjust to a life of chores and cheap pleasures. The swap proves life changing for both sides.

Rich House Poor House returns Sunday 8th February on 5.
