The award-winning factual entertainment series Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake returns for a fourth series as Pete Wicks is reunited with Dogs Trust. Pete Wicks is passionate about dogs and a dedicated animal welfare advocate.

He is once again joining the teams at Dogs Trust centres across the UK as they rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs in need. This series sees Pete tackle some of the most challenging and high-profile animal welfare stories he has ever faced.

From helping dogs rescued from a house containing more than 250 dogs, to supporting a dog that was living in shocking conditions in an unregulated rescue centre, Pete witnesses first-hand the resilience of animals who have endured the toughest starts in life.

Alongside these emotional and often heartbreaking cases are the moments that make the journey worthwhile. Pete helps care for vulnerable puppies, supports dogs through life-changing medical procedures and follows rescue dogs as they learn to trust again.

Through every setback and every success, he sees the incredible dedication of the Dogs Trust staff determined to give each dog the second chance it deserves. This series, Pete is also joined by his own rescue dog Rodney, who he recently adopted from Dogs Trust, who works alongside Pete to help some of the dogs he meets on their road to recovery.

In the first episode, Pete Wicks returns to Dogs Trust, helping find homes for rescue dogs across the UK. He supports a Cane Corso litter facing health concerns, rehabilitates a traumatised Jack Russell cross, and follows a promising Labrador being assessed as a potential assistance dog for veterans.
