Based on Anne Rice’s iconic trilogy, Lives of the Mayfair Witches, the series explores female empowerment and the mortal implications of our decisions.

As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.

Realising that his proximity is mysteriously supercharging her healing powers, she takes a job at the Mayfair family's hospital.
Meanwhile, Tessa's sister Moira, whose special power is mind reading, arrives on the scene, holding Lasher responsible for Tessa's death. Ciprien takes steps to prevent his memory being erased again, but soon discovers the Talamasca have designs on both him and Lasher.

Episode 4: Suffering the side effects from the queller spray, Rowan flashes back to when she and Lark were together but wakes up to find that Jojo and Daphne are still trapped in a thrall.
With Lasher gone, Rowan's powers are much diminished. She and Moira reach out to Ciprien and ask to have Lasher brought back, but Lasher has now been taken elsewhere, and Ciprien is about to get into trouble for it. Desperate to know his whereabouts, Moira and Rowan team up to question Dolly Jean and discover a whole new level of mystery.
Episode 5: Under the Victrola's spell, Rowan is tricked by Julien into separating herself into 'Mind Rowan' (intellect) and 'Heart Rowan' (feelings). Meanwhile, Moira helps Cortland access painful memories from his childhood in Scotland.

Rowan meets Bonnie Mayfair, who reveals an ancient story. Lasher meets his intended bride. And Ciprien is brought before the Talamasca elders in Amsterdam.

In Amsterdam, Ciprien is promoted by the Talamasca and charged with investigating Lasher's past with Polina. As Lasher's past life as Ashlar emerges, his burning desire to marry Emaleth grows.
Episode 8: Lasher's bride Emaleth goes into labour immediately after their wedding night. Julien and Ian are still after Lasher's blood. And Moira resolves it is time for her to break out of her cell.
