With more and more of us looking for ways to get value for money, in this special episode of Love Your Garden, Alan Titchmarsh and the team show you how to create a dream garden without spending a fortune.

Whether it’s one part of your garden or a full makeover, this is the ultimate guide to achieving beauty on a budget. Alan has chosen four classic garden features that are big on impact and with the right advice can also be easy on your pocket.

These are features that can instantly change the look of the garden including a statement flower bed, a path, a patio garden and a wildlife pond. By showing viewers how to make the right choices when it comes to plants, materials and finishing touches, Alan reveals how they can be achieved for just a few hundred quid.

And with the average cost of a full garden makeover now believed to be between seven and 10 thousand pounds, Katie Rushworth and David Domoney come to the aid of two families of garden novices who only have half that amount. Taking totally different approaches and encouraging the garden owners to get stuck in, they will try to help them build their dream garden without going over the three and half thousand pound budget.

At the end of the makeovers, David and Katie reveal the new gardens to their owners but have they blown the budget or actually saved them money?
