New six-part UKTV original thriller starring Nick Blood (Day of the Jackal) and BAFTA nominee Saffron Hocking (Top Boy). The series promises edge-of-your-seat action, high-stakes drama, and a gripping storyline that will stream on U and air on U&Dave, marking the channel’s first bold step into original scripted drama.

Written by BAFTA-winner Howard Overman (Misfits, The War of The Worlds), and directed by David Caffrey (The Gentlemen, Peaky Blinders), Hit Point is an adrenaline-charged blend of high-stakes crime thriller and sizzling romantic drama, following thirty-something detectives Leo (Nick Blood) and Bella (Saffron Hocking) as their latest case pulls them into a dangerous West London underworld.

Alongside Nick Blood and Saffron Hocking, the series also stars William Abadie (Emily in Paris) Brendan Coyle (Toxic Town), Peter Serafinowicz (The Gentlemen), Nadia Parkes (Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story), Moe Bar-El (Alien: Earth), and Ossian Perret (The Last Kingdom) and Joshua Sher (The Undeclared War).

Whenalion, a fox, and a jaguar (or is it a panther?), or rather three men in animal masks, intercept a Range Rover carrying ten million pounds worth of cash, detectives Bella and Leo are called in to investigate the case. There’s something about this heist that just doesn’t make sense, but the romantic tension between Bella and Leo is palpable as they pursue the perpetrators.

Despite the obvious chemistry, neither of them will be willing to admit that they have feelings for one another. As the three masked men work out how to launder the money, it is only natural that its owner, the psychopathic Pascal Dubois, would come to London looking for it.

As the robbers come under increasing pressure to evade both the police and Pascal, they find themselves drawn into bigger crimes than they had ever set out to commit. The real question is: do we actually want Bella and Leo to catch them? All is not as it seems. Starring Nick Blood, Saffron Hocking, William Abadie and Peter Serafinowicz.

Episode 1: A lion, a fox, a panther (or is it a jaguar?). A non-lethal bullet. Ten million pounds. Detectives Leo and Bella are called in to investigate a heist that doesn’t seem to make much sense. As more contradictory clues come in, the sparky banter between the two detectives belies a greater attraction.

Their investigation leads them to an ammunition supplier, but when he collapses in the street, their only lead could be slipping through their fingers. Unbeknown to our heroes, one of the operatives of the heist is a policeman, Dylan. As the gang learns that Hubble has been apprehended by the police, they scramble to stop him talking.

Meanwhile, a far bigger threat arrives in the form of Lucas’ ruthless and psychopathic uncle Pascal. He wants his money back, and he wants it back now. As the stakes ramp up, all is not what it seems.

Episode 2: A dead body. A trail of clues. A psychopathic mobster. Leo is feeling the pressure from all angles, while simultaneously keeping Bella off his tail and, inconveniently, falling even more deeply in love with her. As Bella spirals with guilt over Hubble’s death, Leo fights to keep her from uncovering the truth, but when she finds CCTV footage at Hubble’s workshop, he can feel the walls closing in.

Leo scrambles to intercept it before she discovers what he, Carter and Dylan have done. Juggling lies, disposing of evidence, and bribing an informant, Leo battles with his dangerous double life – and Carter and Dylan fear his feelings for Bella could destroy them all.

Hit Point begins Thursday 13th August at 9pm on U&Dave.
