Griff's Canadian Adventure | Preview (Channel 4)

British comedian and travel enthusiast Griff Rhys Jones embarks on a journey across the second largest country on the planet - Canada.

Travelling from east to west through mountains, prairies, ice and forest, Griff explores how its history has shaped the Canada of today and uncovers what makes each province so tantalisingly unique yet distinctly Canadian.

From the rugged Atlantic coast of Newfoundland to Vancouver in the Pacific northwest, each episode sees Griff undergo a challenge to truly experience each province, with a little help from locals and experts he meets along the way.

In this first episode, Griff begins his journey across Canada on the Atlantic coast of its easternmost province.

He uncovers what makes Newfoundland and Labrador distinctly unique; from tiny islands, sea shanties and cod tongue, to jellybean houses and noonday canons, whilst also discovering its 'bigness' in everything from land and dogs to the hospitality of its people.
