Sky HISTORY confirmed the premiere date, and released new stills for the new original documentary series, Great British Castle Rescue, presented by Rick Edwards, which premieres on Sky HISTORY on Monday 9th March at 9PM.

Great British Castle Rescue follows presenter Rick Edwards as he ventures inside some of the UK’s most spectacular and endangered castles. From crumbling medieval towers to collapsing royal chambers, engineers and historians battle to stabilise these epic structures before they're lost forever.
Each rescue unlocks extraordinary stories of warrior kings, civil wars, brutal betrayals and forgotten lives. Blending cutting-edge engineering, adventure and vivid historical reconstruction, the series reveals how these fortresses shaped Britain, and whether they can survive for future generations.
Ep.1 – Fyvie Castle
Rick Edwards joins project director Annie Robertson at Fyvie Castle in Aberdeenshire to tackle the near-collapse of Charles I’s childhood home, drawing on expert advice to shape a plan that will preserve its history and secure its future.
Ep.2 – Gwrych Castle
Rick visits Gwrych Castle in Abergele, where lifelong owner Mark Baker is fighting to restore the ruined estate, once a refuge for Kindertransport children, by reconnecting its lost history and driving an ambitious revival.
Ep.3 – Lowther Castle
At Lowther Castle in Penrith, Rick meets Jim Lowther, who unveils a bold plan to rescue his war-scarred ancestral home and remove it from the at-risk register by reimagining its future.
Great British Castle Rescue premieres Monday 9 March at 9pm on Sky HISTORY.
