First Dates | Series 21 Preview (Channel 4)

First Dates is back! Celebrating a very special 10th anniversary, the world's most romantic restaurant has moved to a new stunning location in the heart of the beautiful city of Bath.

The first dater to set foot in the brand-new First Dates restaurant is Mercedes, who shocks Fred with her non-nonsense attitude and potty mouth. Her date is a self-confessed gamer.

Trading the Costa Blanca for the romantic city of Bath is 53-year-old jetsetter Georgina. Having endured many a heartbreak, Georgina is craving fun and excitement. Will Georgina’s date, part-time DJ Steve, be the man to provide a romantic soundtrack to her life?

The pair immediately bond over their shared passion for Benidorm. Steve pulls out his best moves to impress Georgina, even performing a roly poly in the restaurant. Will this fun-loving duo jet off into the Spanish sunset together? Or will it be ‘adiós’ forever?

Turning heads upon her arrival is Lauren, star of the reality TV series ‘The Real Housewives of Cheshire’. Having endured a very public divorce on screen, Lauren has had her fun with toyboys and is now looking for something a bit more ‘real’.

From the moment well-off entrepreneur Chiles enters the restaurant, sparks fly.  Lauren soon becomes smitten... but it's not Chiles that has caught her eye. Things are about to get awkward for Maitre'd, Fred.

Trainee teacher Ashley has been doing his homework when it comes to love. Having planned his wedding from the age of three, Ashley has a long list of requirements when it comes to a potential suitor. Cue Rudi, a Cambridge Undergraduate, hoping to enrol on the course of true love.

The sophisticated duo hit it off immediately and even plan their dream nuptials. However, when Rudi fails to meet one of Ashley’s strict requirements, the mood turns from “I do” to “I don’t”. If this pair are to have and to hold, they will need to see past their differences.

First Dates returns Tuesday 2nd January at 10pm on Channel 4.
