Mark Millar helps homeowners to transform the most important rooms in the house and proves that not even a cost of living crisis can come between us and our beloved home makeovers. In this series he looks at both kitchens and bathrooms - the trickiest rooms to get right.

In Sidcup, London, a family need to move into their new home in a few weeks and need Mark's help putting in both a kitchen and a bathroom. To stretch their £13k budget for both rooms as far as possible, they're doing all the work themselves.

And in Barnsley, Yorkshire, a couple want to save money while creating not one, but two, dramatic bathrooms for £6k between them.
